▶ 📜 Conditions (11)
- — Prior to the commencement of encroachment work hereunder, permittee shall have in force and will maintain in force during the performance of the excavation work and the period of the encroachment permit public liability insurance of not less than five hundred thousand dollars for any one person and five hundred thousand dollars for any one accident and property damage insurance of not less than five hundred thousand dollars duly issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in this state.
- — The applicant/contractor shall display the pink PROW placard at the work site. PROW placards are non-transferrable. Loss of PROW placards incur a replacement fee.
- — All public traffic, parking, informational, etc. signs shall be removed from the property in a manner that preserves their quality and for reinstallation. Applicant responsible for reposting signs during the construction phase as necessary to provide necessary information. Signs that are not maintained shall be replaced at the applicant’s sole cost.
- — Permit is valid for the dates of work defined herein or October 15th of the application year, whichever is later.
- — Please be advised that Public Works shall require five working days’ notice for all water and sewer taps. Please call 733-3079 to schedule taps in advance.
- — Road Closure: The applicant shall utilize traffic signage complying with MUTCD standards. “Road Closed to thru traffic” or “Local Traffic Only” signs shall be placed at the nearest intersections. “Road Closed” signs shall be placed near the road closure.
- — Lane Closure: The applicant shall utilize signage complying with MUTCD standards. “Lane Closed Ahead” or “Utility Work Ahead” shall be used for lane closure activities. Lane closures require Certified Traffic Flaggers and shall use appropriate STOP/SLOW pole signs to control alternating traffic.
- — Sidewalk Closure: The applicant shall utilize traffic signage complying with MUTCD standards. “Sidewalk Closed Cross Here” signs shall be placed at the nearest intersections. “Sidewalk Closed” signs shall be placed near the road closure.
- — The applicant shall notify neighboring properties of the upcoming lane, alley and road closures.
- — The working hours for this project shall be 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays. No work on holidays shall be permitted.
- — All obstructions on the street shall be protected by barricades, fencing, railing with flags, lights, and/or signs, placed at proper intervals and times. Protection shall be provided as needed to protect the public from hazards during construction. Protection shall remain in place and intact from the beginning to completion of the project or as needed for safety.
